Meeting the Locals

I had a chance to meet some of the locals.  They were very accepting of this visitor from NC.

Notice the snow. Until July 3rd the upper part of Going to the Sun Road was closed due to snow. Many of the upper trails are still closed.  The first picture below shows snow that was up to my head.  It was the trail head to one of the upper trails.  Obviously I decided to take another trail.   It may be a hard sell to call CPC and tell them I have to delay my return because I am snowed in.  The other pictures were provided by my cabin landlord showing what the road looked like prior to the 3rd.
